PREMIER guideline implementation to our work

The DFG programme SPP23 is a big consortium of scientific groups working on microglia function in health and disease. To increase the value and outcome of experimental results, data management of the consortium will be supported by a supervisor and the implementation of a quality assurance protocol (PREMIER) which was intended for scientific groups and collaborations according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. This document gives an overview over the different PREMIER modules and statements of if and how these can be used in SPP2395.

For sharing and standardizing our protocols, we use a PREMIER QMS which is a password-protected Wiki platform for all members of SPP2395.

Policy Framework for SPP2395 Data Management

The SPP2395 consortium recognizes the fundamental importance of research data and its management in maintaining research excellence and scientific integrity, and is committed to pursuing the highest standards of research practice. lncreased developments in computational advances, internationalization and data protection regulations present significant new opportunities and challenges in this regard. The purpose of our policy is to provide a framework that defines the responsibilities of the SPP2395 coordination team including data management and its researchers, and to provide guidance for the proper management of research data throughout its full life cycle. This includes promoting data sharing and re-use to the widest extent feasible, in order to maximize research transparency, quality and impact. SPP23 is committed to a goal of making data created as part of the research process compliant with the FAIR principles [1] Data should be: Findable, Accessible, lnteroperable and Reusable. lmplementation of this policy also aims to ensure conformity with pertinent legal obligations, ethical responsibilities and the rules of funding bodies.
